EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM
LRT 2000 Series Equipment

This page is set up to document ETS's fleet of motive power and freight cars. I've bounced back and forth with the concept behind this page. Initially I included anything that could be used to pull additional rail bourne cars. That included the Balco mine locomotives and the speeder. Now, I've kind of gone back to my original concept for just equipment like the locomotives and freight cars. So, for the time being, I'm am focusing on equipment fitted with AAR couplers. That does leave some grey areas. While it includes the locomotives 2001 and 2010, this also includes 2011 and 2012 Geismar, although I've yet to see them full anything with AAR couplers. Likewise, this excludes 3850 which most certainly pulls freight cars but with a fixed knuckle rather than an AAR coupler. Likewise, 2012 Balco as a fixed knuckle, and while the lo-railer has a AAR knuckle coupler, it is usually out 3850 and it's fixed knuckle. Plus, the lo-railer seems to fit in better with the 3000 series equipment anyways.

Some of this is still a work in progress so not all details are finished at this point.
