2001-2002 Gillig Trolleybus #4100-4199

To replace the AMG trolleybus fleet, Seattle choose to take the motors and electronics out of the AMG trolleys, rebuilt them, and place them into new Gillig bodies. The rebuild of the motors and electronics was completed by Alstrom. The first 2 buses were delivered with Luminator flip dot signs, while the rest of the fleet has been equipped with Luminator Horizon LED destination signs. The first buses were completed in 2001, while the majority were completed during 2002, with the last ones being done in 2003.

4101 July 2, 2002 KC Metro #4101 returning to Atlantic Base after the evening rush hour. This bus and 4100 were the only two fitted with Luminator flip dot destination signs. These are since been replaced with the LED Luminator Horizon destination sign.
