Public Transit Victoria (Melbourne) Trams - W Class

The W Class tram was built in 12 different variations from 1923-1956. Now seen as the classic Melbourne tram, a handful of refurbished units remain in regular service on the Route 35 - City Circle. These units include many modern upgrades such as pantographs, LED lighting, GPS tracking, and automatic stop announcements. Some others have also been donated to transit history groups around the world, including #930 which is presently operated by the Edmonton Radial Railway Society.
