The excavation is coming along nicely where the tunnel portal will be. Note the light pole which had the fence built around it on 114 St is now gone!
May 5, 2003
The snow is back! A large crane is now onsite, as are parts of the TBM.
May 15, 2003
What snow fell on the 5th is now gone. Hopefully the last of the season. some I-beams can be seen in front of the crane.
May 20, 2003
More I-beams have arrived. Future photos will show these beams being welded into boxes.
June 4, 2003
The I beam boxes have been lowered into the portal site and 2 sets of stairs constructed.

The big crane is gone for now! Base slab construction has started.

Retaining wall construction well underway.

TBM parts after TBM was moved back to south end of site. Tunnel portals have been cast.

The big crane is gone, probably for good, and most equipment for the tunnelling operation is gone. There are still a few tunnel liners waiting to be installed or disposed of.
