Red Deer Transit's first "Classic" type buses were 5 1989 MCI TC-40102N model buses. Powered by the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and
Allison V731 transmission, these buses were also refitted with Bailos destination signs. All were retired by the end of 2011.
