2008 Nova Bus LFS-40 #2001-2003

In mid 2008, SCT took delivery of three LFS' to continue with fleet replacement and expansion. While very similar to the previous order, these units were the first to feature rear destination signs and Strathcona decals along the roofline. Originally delivered as #937-939, the buses were soon renumbered to #2001-2003. This was most likely done to avoid future numbering conflicts in the 95x range, and to allow for the creation of a separate number series for the LFS HEVs delivered the same year (these units were delivered as #940-943 and renumbered into the 3000 series). See below for a photo of #937 having a bit of an identity crisis, carrying both fleet numbers at the same time! For clarity's sake, the images are listed chronologically by serial number on this page. In other words, the order for the photos is: 937, 2001, 938, 2002, 939, 2003; as 937 and 2001 for example are actually the same bus. As of 2020, these buses continue in active service, and now feature the current green livery.

937 (2001) March 20th, 2009 937, or is it 2001?? Westbound on MacDonald Drive as a route 402. Apparently someone forgot to change the numbers on the front of the bus when it was renumbered! This was corrected shortly after this photo was taken, however.

2002 July 23rd, 2013 2002 departing the old Strathcona Station as a route 421 after being repainted into the green livery. Due to construction around the terminal at the time, buses were using the adjacent recycling depot to turn around.
