This primitive transit terminal served commuters until the much larger St. Albert Transit Centre was opened. We know this facility was still in operation in 1978 from the aerial image with no signs of construction. The Village Tree Mall opened in 1981, so it seems like that would be a good guess as to when this terminal was replaced. This photo is taken looking east, so with the back of the photographer towards the future mall. The one bus shelter is likely supplied by Edmonton Transit. 816 in very early in it's career, and I haven't seen any other examples of that round logo. The photo was taken on November 3, 1976.
