EDMONTON TRANSIT SERVICE
#3862 is a one off in the fleet. It
is a Whiting rail grinder. It's believed to have joined the fleet in the
mid-1980's. Fitted with AAR couplers on either end, it was probably usually
towed by 2001. I have never seen this unit in service, and since 2003 all
grinding has been contracted out. I don't believe that this unit is even sitting
on rails at DLM now. Since it has AAR couplers on both ends, and I have a series
of cells left under freight cars, I have given this it's own page.
