Flat Cars #2101-2103, 2201, 3855

Flat cars #2101-2103 were built for use on the LRT extension under Jasper Ave to Corona Station, to be used on conjunction with locomotive 2001. 2101 is a 32' long example, whereas 2102 and 2103 were 40' long. 2201 was a depressed center flat car and used to transport TBM equipment into and out of the tunnels. By the 2000's, only 2101 and suspected 2102 remained. 2101 was rebuilt and in 2011 received a removable hydraulic ramp, built by Oxford Industrial Machines #3874. 2102 was just a frame and eventually scrapped. Indications are that 2201 was rebuilt as the spot ballast car #2401.
3855 1986 National Steel Car "Lo-Railer". This very versatile car joined the LRT fleet in 1986. It is often paired with 3850 and has often been configured for catenary maintenance in the past, carrying an aerial lift and homebuilt pantograph rig. One end of the car has flip out ramps for loading equipment and has been used to transport equipment into the tunnels, in particular, all of the equipment for the construction of the Churchill junction, as well as parts in and out for escalator replacements. The car seems to have originally been purchased as part of some equipment for tunnel washing. The car does not carry a fleet number, and the number actually conflicts with the reported number of another car in the fleet, so, the number is assumed correct based upon a 2003 handout from the 25th Anniversary of LRT event.
