LRT has roving line inspectors who are available to deal with incidents that may arise. The equipment used by them has varied over the years. When it was just the NE LRT to University and Health Science's, there was one primary truck. With the SLRT opening to South Campus, the fleet increased to 2 trucks with a van used as a spare. With NLRT, the fleet grew to 3 vehicles, with a 4th vehicle added probably as a spare. The 2012 vehicles saw a downsizing of sorts to basic pick up trucks, but, later had boxes fitted, only to return to plain pick up trucks a few years later.

| R2880 & R2881 2012 Ford F-150 SuperCrew- This pair of trucks has an interesting history which is probably worth just having this blurb for. Both trucks arrived around the same time, with the first spotting being in November 2012. They presented a change from previous incarnations of the "60" and "61" line inspector trucks in that they didn't have any storage space. Previously they used L2410 which had an entirely custom box, while other trucks had been pick up trucks with slide in service boxes. These two trucks were just plain pick up trucks with tonneau covers. Not like after entering service, in April 2013 R2880 crash into a pole in the main Stadium park and ride lot. It was repaired and back in service in late May 2013. By June 2014 they were in the new "sweep" livery. Around September V2395 was spotted as a LRT Inspector truck, this time back to having a service box in the back of the truck. By February R2880 and R2881 had service boxes as well, and W2001 joined the fleet with a service box. It seemed that after an attempt just using a regular pickup truck, they were back to using service boxes. W2001 arrived in 2015, but then in 2019 the new equipment that was purchased was back to being being like R2880 and R2881. Plain pick up trucks. With these new trucks, R2880 and R2881 moved on to work for track maintenance, along with V2395 while W2001 back up the new trucks. | ||||||
