ETS
tested a 1970 Flyer E700A from the TTC in January 1972. The bus was on a tour of
Canada/ US at the time and stopped in, among other places, Edmonton, Calgary and
Boston. The bus was built using components from retired CCF/Brill buses which
were still in good shape, but with a new body from Flyer. The result for
Edmonton was purchase of 37 E800 model buses from Flyer using Brill components.
After delivery issues and issues related to the buses, an option for 37
additional E800's was axed.
