The second CCF/ Brill T-44 trolley coaches to hit Edmonton streets began arriving in September 1947, only 7 months after the previous order of T-44 finished being delivered. The coaches in this order would provide service until the first were retired in 1973 with some continuing on until 1978.

Edmonton Transit #161 is seen shortly after exiting the 118 Ave underpass beneath Edmonton Transit's Coliseum LRT Station while heading westbound on 118 Ave. The coach is operating on a route 5 which would have terminated a few blocks east on the other side of the underpass. This stretch of
trolley wire no longer exists, instead the route 5 terminates in the Coliseum Transit Centre which is located directly north of the bus.
