Delivery of these 40 D40LF buses began in March 2006, however most were probably constructed in 2005. Very similar to the 2005 units, these buses are also equipped with Cummins ISL engines and Allison B400R5 transmissions.
The only real difference from the previous order is the rear axles; these units feature quieter MAN axles in place of the Meritor models found on previous units. #4495 was the prototype for the HID headlights now found
across the fleet. Later retrofits include blue ETS insignia seat inserts (select units only), Smartbus GPS & stop announcement systems, interior and exterior cameras, operator's compartment shields & A/C units, and smart card readers for the ARC fare system. As of November 2023,
all of these buses are in active service.
