Edmonton's first New Look model buses were 5 TDH-5301 US built buses, #s 434-438. These were the first, and only US built New Looks ETS would
receive, as the rest were built in Canada. This first order was the start of a total of 706 GM New Look buses Edmonton would
receive, including 100 trolleybus versions. All of these buses were probably retired in the mid to late 1980's. #438 was a prototype for the black Firestone bumpers. #438 also ended up being restored into a unique version of the Red and Cream paint scheme and kept for the ETS historic collection. These buses were powered by a
Detroit Diesel 6V-71 engine, and Allison VH transmission.
