When the name GMC is mentioned in reference to public transit in Edmonton, the GM fishbowl is probably the first type of bus to come to mind, as well as the old looks. These were, however, not the only GMC built buses for Edmonton. Edmonton Street Railway #3 was the first. GMC built chassis for this bus, with a body built by Fane Auto Works. This bus was powered by a Buick 6 cylinder 94 HP gas engine, and re-engined with a Leyland 70 HP engine in 1936. This bus was delivered in 1932 and retired in 1944.
