2024 New Flyer XD40 #7237-7267

These buses are virtually identical to #7219-7236. #7237-7246 entered service in August-September 2024. #7249-7267, while built concurrently (with sequential serial numbers), did not enter service until May 2025. The most likely reason for this is that the first 11 buses were designated for fleet replacement, while the other 20 were part of a service expansion package that was not fully funded until the spring of 2025. New Flyer likely offered a lower price if they could build all of the buses at once, hence the early deliveries. #7247 was supposed to be included with the 11 fleet replacement buses, however it received major front end damage shortly after delivery. #7248 entered service early as its replacement, while #7247 was held for repair and entered service later with the second group of buses in the spring of 2025.
