2018 Grande West Vicinity B30A #2016-2048

Originally the replacement plans for the existing cutaway fleet ran into the 2020's, but PTIF and GreenTRIP funding allowed for the delivery of an additional 33 Vicinity's in 2018. There was essentially no delivery gap between these units and #'s 2000-2015, so as far as we know they are virtually identical. A few units sport green Vicinity decals on the front and passenger side. During the March-August 2020 service reductions for Covid-19, these buses were parked to help facilitate social distancing. All have since returned to service with operator's compartment shields installed.

With the Vicinities being more similar to an actual bus than a cutaway, ETS now uses a Vicinity as its primary peak-hours backup bus, which means, on occasion, you see them turn up on main routes. In this instance, 2018 had to substitute for an articulated bus that broke down. A Vicinity was also once spotted on the Route 2, with about 50 people packed into it!
