EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM
2011 Goshen GC II / Ford E-450 DATS shuttles #s 5105-5114

After losing Corbeil as a potential bus supplier, and testing a handful of Diamond bodied buses, ETS decided to return to the Goshen GC II body of #5001. While based on the heavier duty Ford E-450 chassis (#5001 was an E-350), these buses were also the first since #5001 to include Triton V10 gasoline engines. They featured updated front and rear ends, as well as front destination sign glass (despite the fact they will probably never need destination signs). The glass was eventually covered over to provide a space for recording equipment after the buses were all refitted with security cameras. This order, delivered in 2011, consisted of ten "prototype" units for fleet replacement. It was then followed by much larger orders in 2012 and 2013. These buses were all retired by 2021-22.
