Despite having recieved 231 new buses in 2007, ETS still found themselves without enough units to replace all of the remaining GMC New Look buses. As of mid-2008, around 40 GMC's remained in active service. This order of 121 buses came about in 2009 to expand existing service and finally replace the remaining high floors. Spec wise, these buses received many upgrades over the 2007 order. The interiors were the most notable; these were the first units delivered with 4ONE Aries seating with custom "ETS blue" fabric inserts, BRT-styled ad racks and stanchions, and LED interior lighting. These were also the first units to have the area atop the driver's side wheelwell occupied with various electronics and compartments. On the outside, the door glass was squared-off similar to New Flyer XD's, and most inculded bike racks on delivery. While they still included Cummins ISL EPA 2007 engines and Allison B400R series transmissions, most had a sixth gear added for more efficient highway running. 4768-4777 and 4816-4822 had additional highway gearing for use on the Spruce Grove (560) Fort Saskatchewan (580) routes. 4852-4856 were originally wrapped and equipped with luggage racks for use on route 747 (Edmonton International Airport), however were eventually swapped for 4867-4871, the former C-Line Leduc buses, after Leduc began running their own transit service. In mid-2020, these buses were swapped again in favour of a handful of new XD40's (7151-7155). 4804 and 4806 were prototypes for the ETS SmartBus system, with real-time GPS tracking and automated announcements. All other buses received this system by 2016. 4860-4863 demoed Coin Tube style fairboxes in late 2012. Later retrofits include exterior cameras, operator's compartment shields and A/C units. As of November 2023, all of these buses are in active service.
