EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM
1993 Overland ELF 125 / Ford E-450 diesel #53

ETS recieved their first Overland ELF bus in 1993. This is the only ETS ELF that had the pre Power Stroke International Harvester IDI diesel engine (this engine option was replaced by the Ford Power Stroke - a rebadged Navistar International T-444E - in mid 1994). It also featured a unique rear window configuration and a smaller front destination sign. Originally numbered R7557 in the general City of Edmonton fleet, it was renumbered to 53 sometime in the mid 1990s (the rest of ETS' cutaways also recieved similar changes in numbering at this time). Despite having been renumbered, it retained the original fleet numbers on the rear. This bus was retired around 2002-2003, and unlike most of the later ELFs, it never recieved a Balios destination sign in place of its original rollsigns. It sat in the Paterson Compound until sometime in 2007-2008, at which point it was sent to the scrappers.
