Calgary Transit's only Orion II 02.501 was ordered in 1992.  It was purchased with the intention of operating it on the Route 31 - Downtown Shuttle, but unfortunately this bus spent more time in the shops than it did on the road.  It was put into storage in the Fall of 1999 at Spring Gardens Garage, returning to service shortly after that, and was parked off and on until sometime in 2003 when it was unofficially retired from transit service.
