After the 1976 D800's, Calgary Transit's next purchase of buses from Flyer were 20 1979 D900's #482-502. The Flyer 900 series of bus retained much of the 800 series body, except for a new style front. These buses were powered by the Detroit Diesel 6V71N engine and Allison V-730 transmission. The last of these buses were removed from service in late 2001 (October/ November). Most of these have been scrapped now. Some of those that were retired before this date have since been sold or scrapped. #502 was sold to Airdrie Transit, but no longer operates there.
