In 2006-2007, Calgary Transit took delivery of and additional 40 SD-160 LRV's from Siemens. While virtually all of the previous orders of SD-160's had been delivered by rail, the first few vehicles from this order were delivered by truck, with the remainder delivered by rail. The first LRV's from this order also hit the rails without any striping, as Calgary Transit was still working on a new livery for these cars. All of these cars have been refurbished into the red livery and refitted with A/C, frameless windows, low profile resistor boxes, and additional roof skirting similar to the 2010+ restyled SD-160's.
