San Francisco MUNI - 2007 Orion 07.503 #8501-8530

These buses feature BAE HybriDrive diesel electric hybrid systems, powered by the Cummins ISB. Starting in 2012, the original solid lead acid batteries were replaced with lithium ion batteries. This small fleet of the unusual 07.503 configuration (32.5' long x 96'' wide) was ordered specifically for routes such as the 39 Coit, which requires a smaller bus to negotiate the difficult terrain.
