Public Transit Victoria (Melbourne) Buses

Buses in Melbourne are operated by 32 privately owned companies under contract with the State Government. All are operated under the PTV banner, with common fares between trams and buses. Most of the following images were taken in around the same area (Victoria Parade at Nicholson Street) unless otherwise indicated. As with most European buses, the chassis and body are typically supplied by separate companies as described below.
