Winnipeg Transit 2003 New Flyer D60LF #971-983

After experiencing numerous structural and drivetrain issues with several orders of articulated buses, OC Transpo of the Ottawa region arranged a trade-in deal with New Flyer. In exchange for a discount on replacement buses, New Flyer agreed to take back the defective units, at which point they could be refurbished and sold off at discounted rates. Winnipeg Transit acquired 20 of these units in 2012 with the first entering service in 2014. As of January 2020, all except #980 are in active service.
