Strathcona County Transit 1995 New Flyer D40LF #950

Strathcona County Transit purchased this former New Flyer D60LF demonstrator bus in 1996-1997. Built in 1995, it was essentially the prototype articulated low floor bus for New Flyer. Powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine and ZF 4HP500 transmission (a very unusual combination!), this bus ran with SCT until 2009-2010, at which point it was retired and sold at auction.
