Strathcona County Transit 1995 New Flyer D40LF #950

Strathcona County Transit purchased this former New Flyer D60LF demonstrator bus in 1996. Built in 1995, it was the prototype articulated low floor bus for New Flyer and was rumoured to supposed to have been CNG powered. Powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine and ZF 4HP500 transmission (a very unusual combination!), this bus ran with SCT until late 2008 or early-mid 2009, at which point it was retired and sold at auction to 911 Film Cars.
