STRATHCONA COUNTY TRANSIT
1995 New Flyer D40LF #903

Strathcona County Transit's second low floor bus was a lone New Flyer D40LF acquired in 1995. Based on serial number data, this bus was built in between two other single-bus orders: Medicine Hat Transit #770, and Brandon Transit #45. These three buses all share similar specs, implying that they were ordered as a group. In late 2004 - early 2005 this bus was rebuilt and emerged in the XL-II paint scheme. It its later years, after the delivery of many Nova LFS buses, this bus primarily covered local and school service in Sherwood Park. By 2011-2012, it was retired from service, but as of mid 2014 remains on property (despite the fact that it is now missing several parts, including an entire axle)!
