Strathcona County Transit added a pair of MCI Classics to their fleet in 1992. Powered by Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines and Allison VR731 transmissions, these buses were delivered in the maroon stripe livery with black painted around the windows. They were later refurbished, at which point they lost the extra black paint. Unlike the earlier GM Classics, these buses included enlarged front destination signs. In around 2009, both units were refitted with Balios LED destination signs, however they were smaller units designed for a GM New Look or an earlier Classic. The two buses ran in service until early 2014, at which point they were retired due to the delivery of 14 Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 double decker buses (#s 8001-8014). As of mid 2014, #s 900 and 901 remain on property in storage.
