ST. ALBERT TRANSIT
1990 MCI TC-40102N #s 834-836

St. Albert's first new buses purchased since 1982 were 3 MCI "Classics", model TC-40102N. #836 was involved in a major collision in 1992, and was subsequently sent to Calgary Transit for refurbishment. These buses were powered by Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines and Allison V731 transmissions. #s 834 and 836 were retired upon the delivery of 13 New Flyer D40LFRs (#s 865-877) in 2007, while #835 stuck around until mid-2009 to ease the demands of increased ridership attributed to the U Pass program.
