EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM
SD160 AND 3 CARS OF RAIL

Mid October 2010 was an interesting sight on ETS. 1 SD160 had been delivered, as well as 3 flat cars of rail for upcoming projects. In particular, the rail was used for replacement in the tunnel from Churchill to 95 St that summer, and Churchill to Central during summer 2013. 3850 handled all of the rail car moving duties. The freight cars were: SSW 84331, CW 4001, CW 4074, CW 7005. The CW reporting marks belong to the Colorado & Wyoming Railway, a 5 mile line in Colorado owned by Evraz, who also own the Rocky Mountain Steel Mills facility. Among other things, this mill produces rail, so, it's a safe bet that was where this rail was manufactured, although, Evraz does have other facilities. (Source: www.cwrailway.com)
