EDMONTON TRANSIT SERVICE / PWT
2020-21 Low Floor Buses #101-105

On April 25, 2021 On Demand Transit arrived in Edmonton as part of the Bus Network Redesign. Intended to fill in gaps in the new fixed route BNR, Edmonton contracted out the operation of the On Demand Transit, after a competitive tender processes, to PWT (buses and operators) and Via Transportation (software). The service underwent a full evaluation after two years, at which point Edmonton City Council decided to permanently fund the initial service in addition to several service expansions.

ETS's On Demand contract with PWT calls for 5 low floor buses to be used for On Demand service dedicated to serving certain seniors' residences. The initial fleet was a mixture of buses that were available for start up the service. #104 and #105 were soon replaced with New England Wheels FrontRunner / RAM ProMaster units to match #102 and #103. #101, however, was retained as the only ARBOC Independence / Ford Transit unit.
