EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM
2019-20 New Flyer D60LFR #s 4933-4967

Originally tendered in 2018, process delays resulted in the first units not arriving to ETS until November 2019. This order consists of the initial 23 units scheduled for 2018 as well as the first option year for a total of 35 buses. Presumably these buses were purchased to start the new Heritage Valley Park N' Ride service (route 700/700x) in addition to replacing the 2001 and 2003 D60LF's. Featuring A/C and similar seating to the 7110+ series XD40's (American Seating Vision instead of 4ONE Gemini), they are also the first ETS buses to have operator shields installed prior to entering service. 4933 entered service almost immediately after arriving on property in November 2019, with others following not long after. The initial deliveries were assigned to Westwood Garage and then transferred to the new Kathleen Andrews garage upon its opening February 2020. 4933-4959 continue to run out of Andrews, while 4960-4967 are at Centennial Garage.

Upon entering service these buses saw limited use on routes 15 and 100. During the March-August service reductions for the Covid-19 pandemic, they were reassigned to 15-20 odd other routes to help promote social distancing during the pandemic. From September 2020 until the deployment of the bus network redesign in April 2021, articulated operations returned to weekday service on routes 8, 9, 15, and 100. Post bus network redesign, they can be found on routes 8, 9, 110x, 500x and 900x.
