EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM
2013 BYD Auto K9 Battery Electric demonstrators #6009-6010

In mid 2014, ETS took delivery of a pair of BYD (Build Your Dreams - A Chinese battery company) electric demonstrator buses. Assigned fleet numbers 6009 and 6010, the pair ran in revenue service throughout the summer of 2014. #6010 featured a slightly more powerful electrical system, resulting in increased performance at the expense of battery life. #6009 was briefly loaned to St. Albert Transit for further evaluation. See this page for additional information.
