EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM
2010 New Flyer D40LFR #4875

After #4463 was written off due to fire damage in June 2009, ETS recieved a single new bus in 2010. Presumably this was some sort of warranty replacement, as this bus was definitely built at a different time than the 2009 units (#s 4754-4874). For whatever reason, the fleet numbers on the inside of this bus originally read N4875. Every ETS unit has the "N" prefix affixed to its fleet number on paper (for the sake of fitting in with the rest of the city fleet); however prior to this the prefixes had never made any real-world appearences. I believe that this was corrected shortly after the bus went into service, as it no longer has this designation. Like most others, this bus now features Smart Bus GPS & stop announcement equipment, exterior cameras, and an operator's compartment shield & A/C unit. As of November 2023, this bus is in active service running out of Centennial Garage.
