EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM 2007 Glaval Easy
On #01-09
As a
replacement / supplement to the Overland ELFs, ETS purchased a fleet of
Glaval Easy Ons. The first were due in September 2007, but 01 wasn't delivered until between October 15 October 20. 02 and 03 arrived between November 26
and December 2. It is suspected #02 was in service on a 310/311 on February 1,
2008, while #01 was confirmed in service on a route 317 on February 2, 2008. #02
made the media after becoming stuck in a water main break on 156 St on February
1, 2008. ETS recieved three additional units in 2008 (#s 10-13) before deciding to find a different bus supplier for future orders. Rumor has it that they weren't very well liked!
These were the only Glaval Easy Ons in regular transit service in North America. As of mid-2018, all of these buses are retired, having been replaced
by the 2000-series Vicinity units.
