EDMONTON TRANSIT SYSTEM
2002 Goshen GC II / Ford E-350 DATS shuttles

From 1976 until 2003, ETS' DATS (Disabled Adult Transit Service - a door to door bus service for adults over 16 years of age incapable of using regular transit) operations were mostly contracted out to various agencies. DATS became city-owned in 2004, resulting in the need for a fleet of buses and a new garage (Percy Wickman - located across the street from the Paterson Shops) to store them in. #5001 was purchased as a prototype around 2001-2002, however ETS ended up selecting the Corbeil body for the first large orders (#s 5002-5010, 5011-5091, and 5092-5097). This bus remained an orphan for quite some time, being the only Goshen in the fleet and also the only unit with a Triton V10 gasoline Ford E-350 (all of the Corbeils were diesel powered). Ironically ETS later returned to this body style, placing three separate orders from 2011-2013 for the sake of replacing #5001 as well as all of the Corbeil and Diamond bodied buses.
