In 2003, Calgary Transit received 41 new New Flyer D40LF buses numbered 7818-7858.  This order was built identically to the 2002 order with the exception of having the Luminator Horizon LED Destination signs instead of the Balios LED destination signs, having the ribbed paneling on the rear of the bus for the Thermo-King heating system changed to be a flat panel, and some minor differences on the interior.  These buses were still powered by the Cummins ISC engine with the Allison World B400R5 transmission, however many have since been upgraded to the Cummins ISL engine.
