CALGARY TRANSIT
1990/1991 TMCI AC40102A #5108-5117

In 2005, Calgary Transit started receiving 10 used TMCI AC40102A buses.  Built identically to a MCI TC40102A, I believe that the TMCI name and the model number AC40102A were designated for these buses as they were built to US Specifications and were built under the "Buy American" act.  Although there is no physical difference between a Canadian built MCI  versus the US Built TMCI, the only difference I've noticed is the serial plate near the front door and the model number, otherwise were identical.  These buses were second hand from Connecticut Transit and were resold through a bus refurbishing facility out of Quebec.  All are powered by a Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine and the Allison V731 transmission, with their air conditioning units disconnected and their wheelchair lifts disabled.
