Calgary Transit's second order of Siemens SD-160 LRV's was for 17 cars, #'s 2216-2232, to expand the fleet for future LRT extensions, such as the one to Dalhousie (opened on December 15, 2003) and Somerset/Bridlewood (opened in 2004). All of these cars have been refurbished into the red livery and refitted with A/C, frameless windows, low profile resistor boxes, and additional roof skirting similar to the 2010+ restyled SD-160's.
