CALGARY TRANSIT
1973, 1974, and 1976 Flxible Flxette 522KE buses

Starting in 1973, Calgary Transit ordered 6 Flxette 522KE's numbered 250-255 with these buses being used on Dial-A-Bus service, with an additional 9 more buses delivered in 1974 numbered 256-264 and the last one delivered in 1976 numbered 250 to replace the original 250 that hit a welding supply truck before hitting a lamp post.  These buses were powered by a 460 cubic inch Ford gasoline engine.  All these buses were retired by 1981, with the last ones retired a week after the LRT service began on May 25, 1981, with all these buses held up for tender for conversion to motorhomes.
